Use a real school activity to practice the whole learning cycle: prepare before, participate and observe during school activities, then do something with what you learned afterward.
BEFORE HOURS · Prepare
Find the published event information. Confirm the date, time and place. Learn what you can before arriving. Write down what you still want to know.
SCHOOL HOURS · Participate & Observe
Listen. Participate appropriately. Notice the players, coaches, officials, families and other people whose work makes the activity possible. Compare what you expected with what you actually observe.
AFTER HOURS · Do Something With It
Document what you learned. Investigate an unanswered question. Make, fix, help, practice or teach something that grew from the experience.
