Week Three of Summer 2026 turns our focus toward communication. Integrity helped us show up. Responsibility helped us follow through. Communication helps us keep one another informed before confusion turns into distance.
Communication is not just talking. It is listening, clarifying, asking, answering, reminding, inviting, and helping someone comprehend what they do not understand yet.
Friends keep friends informed. Families stay stronger when they speak with respect. Communities stay healthier when people communicate before they assume, accuse, disappear, or leave others guessing.

Week Three Theme
Communication is the bridge between intention and comprehension.
It is not enough to mean well. We must learn to say what we mean, listen to what is being said, and ask again when we do not understand.
Communication is how friendship becomes accountable, how family becomes safer, and how community becomes connected.

Friends do not leave friends uninformed. Friends help one another comprehend what they do not yet understand.

Communication begins when we care enough to be understood.

- give people the information they need,
- and clarify before confusion becomes conflict.
Clear communication is a form of charity because it helps others walk in the light with us.

Listen Before You Assume
Communication is not complete until listening has happened.
A true friend does not only wait for their turn to talk. A true friend listens for meaning, asks better questions, and gives another person room to explain what they do not yet know how to say.
Listening is service. Clarifying is kindness. Asking before assuming is friendship in action.

Our Inheritance Is Comprehension
As Latter-day Saints, our inheritance is not only information. It is comprehension.
Christ did not merely know truth. He taught truth in ways people could receive, remember, apply, and live.
- He listened.
- He asked questions.
- He taught by stories.
- He remembered people.
- He spoke with power and compassion.
Week Three invites us to practice that same pattern in our friendships, families, classrooms, and community tables.

Perhaps Zion is built one honest conversation, one careful question, one Wednesday breakfast, and one act of understanding at a time.
