Friends Keep Friends Informed

Week Two of Summer 2026 has taught me a lot. Integrity starts with showing up when you make plans with a friend.

Integrity is also calling a friend and reminding them not to stand you up again — then inviting them to bring even more friends to breakfast at the Wagon Wheel on Wednesdays. The Wheel will be grateful for the business.

Friends keep friends informed. They help each other keep up with what they do not comprehend yet. As Latter-day Saints, our inheritance is the comprehension that we comprehend as Christ did: line upon line, precept upon precept, with wisdom, compassion, accountability, and love.

Prelude Music

Instrumental hymns and quiet reflection.

Welcome & Announcements

  • Welcome to Week Two Of Ten: Standing Tall With Responsibility.
  • Week One taught us to show up with integrity.
  • Week Two teaches us to follow through with responsibility.
  • Friends keep friends informed.
  • Families and communities grow stronger when people communicate before they assume.
  • The children of the stake speak — and this teacher is listening.

Week Two Theme

Responsibility is maintaining the relationships we choose to build.

It is not enough to arrive once. Responsibility means following through, communicating clearly, and helping others keep up with what they do not comprehend yet.

A Wednesday breakfast can become more than a meal. It can become a table of friendship, accountability, local business support, and community connection.

Sacrament Theme Thought

Responsibility Through Friendship

The world may teach people to cancel quietly, disappear, or leave others guessing.

The Gospel teaches us to speak truth with love, keep our word, forgive, invite, and restore connection where possible.

Integrity shows up. Responsibility follows through.

Friends do not leave friends uninformed. Friends help one another comprehend what they do not yet understand.

Speaker One — 10 Minutes

Integrity Starts With Showing Up

Integrity begins when we make plans and honor them.

  • show up when we say we will,
  • respect another person’s time,
  • speak honestly when plans change,
  • and repair trust when we fall short.

Showing up is not a small thing. It is one way we teach others that our word matters.

Speaker Two — 10 Minutes

Friends Keep Friends Informed

Responsibility grows when we stop leaving people confused.

A true friend helps another friend keep up with what they do not comprehend yet. That can mean making a phone call, sending a reminder, explaining a system, inviting them to breakfast, or simply saying: “I missed you. Come with us this week.”

Communication is service. Clarity is kindness. Follow-through is friendship in action.

Speaker Three — 10 Minutes

Our Inheritance Is Comprehension

As Latter-day Saints, our inheritance is not only information. It is comprehension.

Christ did not merely know truth. He understood how to apply truth with wisdom, compassion, accountability, and love.

  • He listened.
  • He taught.
  • He served.
  • He remembered people.
  • He showed up.

Week Two invites us to practice that same pattern in our friendships, families, classrooms, and community tables.

Musical Number

Optional youth or family musical selection.

Scripture Thought

Mosiah 4:27

“And see that all these things are done in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength.”

Responsibility includes wisdom, order, communication, and knowing how to strengthen one another without running faster than we have strength.

Weekly Practice

PLAN • COMMUNICATE • FOLLOW THROUGH

Make a plan.

Communicate clearly.

Show up.

Follow through.

Help someone else comprehend what they do not yet understand.

Week Two Challenge

Call someone.

Invite them.

Show up.

Do not stand them up.

Strengthen a friendship through consistency, communication, and comprehension.

Closing Thought

Week One taught: I showed up.

Week Two teaches: I will do my part.

Standing Tall with responsibility means keeping our word, informing our friends, supporting local tables like the Wagon Wheel, and helping one another comprehend line upon line.

Perhaps Zion is built one honest plan, one phone call, one Wednesday breakfast, and one act of follow-through at a time.

Closing Hymn

Closing Prayer
